Warranty Information
At Espresso Machine Depot, we stand behind the quality and durability of our products. Our warranty policy is designed to provide you with confidence and peace of mind when purchasing our espresso machines, ice makers, and other coffee equipment. Below, you’ll find comprehensive details about our warranty coverage.
What do you want to know about our warranty?
1. Coverage Period
Our warranty is typically two years unless otherwise noted. Warranty coverage is provided through the manufacturer, dealer, or distributor, depending on the brand of the product. For most manufacturers, the warranty will begin from the date of purchase. This information can be found on the product page or in the documentation included with your purchase.
2. What’s Covered
Our warranty protects against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Specifically, the warranty covers:
- Defective Parts: If any part of your product is found to be defective due to manufacturing issues, we will repair or replace it at no cost to you.
- Labor Costs: For home machines, the warranty includes parts and labor limited to the manufacturer’s defects unless otherwise noted. If a product requires service under warranty, we will cover the labor costs associated with the repair.
- Shipping Costs: We will cover the shipping costs for sending replacement parts or products back to you, as well as for the return of defective products.
3. What’s Not Covered
While we strive to provide comprehensive coverage, certain situations are not covered under our warranty:
- Misuse or Abuse: Damage resulting from improper use, neglect, or abuse of the product is not covered.
- Normal Wear and Tear: Components that naturally wear out over time, such as gaskets, seals, or other consumables, are not included.
- Improper Installation: Any damage resulting from improper installation or failure to follow the provided instructions will void the warranty.
- Modifications: Any modifications made to the product without express written consent from Espresso Machine Depot will void the warranty.
- Commercial Use: The commercial use of items intended for home use voids the warranty with NO exceptions.
4. Returns and Packaging
We will not accept returns, warranty shipments, or exchanges without the original packaging. A machine or grinder shipped without the original packaging is almost certainly going to be damaged during transportation. It is advisable to keep the packaging in case of warranty issues or future maintenance and repairs. The original packaging is specifically engineered to reduce the possibility of shipping damage.
5. 30-Day Return Policy Summary
We have a 30-day money-back return policy on all espresso machines, grinders and ice makers. To qualify for a refund, the item must be returned in like-new condition, with all original accessories included, and in its original, undamaged packaging. The product must be clean and packaged according to the specifications we provide. If the product is returned in this condition, you will receive a full refund minus all shipping costs.
We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee as outlined in our terms and conditions if the product is not returned as specified above. Additionally, we reserve the right to refuse a trial for any reason. Only one trial is allowed per customer unless otherwise specified.
6. Repair Services
Repairs performed by Espresso Machine Depot designated service facility comes with a warranty of 30 days for parts (except for electrical parts, which have a 5-day warranty) and 30 days for labor. This warranty is limited specifically to the parts that have been replaced during the repair.
7. Returns After 30 Days of Customer Delivery Receipt
Eligible returns and refunds will not be processed for returns that arrive at our return center after 30 days of customer delivery receipt.

Most Common Causes of Problems
- Movement During Shipping: Even with careful packaging, products can shift during transit, leading to components like electrical connectors becoming loose. Most of the time, these issues can be easily resolved with tech support and are not regarded as defects.
- Incorrect Grinder Settings and Tamping Technique: Many issues perceived as defects can be corrected by learning the right techniques. Mastering espresso-making requires practice and understanding of proper tamping and grind size.
- Use of Hard or Distilled Water: Always use soft water with a hardness of less than 50 ppm or 3 grains. Avoid using tap water, hard water, distilled water, or ultrapure reverse osmosis water, as they can damage the machine and void the warranty. Signs of water damage are often apparent during maintenance.
- Incorrect Milk Frothing Techniques: Achieving the right frothing technique takes practice. Many perceived defects related to steaming can be addressed by refining your skills.
- Lack of Machine Maintenance: It’s essential to backflush your machine regularly—every ten espressos with water and every 40 with detergent. Neglecting this maintenance can lead to severe damage and will void the warranty.
- Incorrect Initial Setup: Carefully follow the first-time use instructions, particularly regarding purging air and filling the machine with water. Proper setup is crucial to avoid damaging the machine or causing issues like overheating. An overload protection reset is a safety feature, not a defect.

Understanding the most common causes of problems with your espresso machine is crucial for maintaining its performance and longevity.
